At the Complexity festival at Patronaat Haarlem I was not on duty. So I had a change to challenge myself. I went to the festival with two Fuji cameras with manual lenses. Yes even manual focus.

- Samyang 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye II
Wow that was pretty hard working at my day off.
It is very difficult to see at the viewfinder if you are in focus. I’ve tried focus Peaking, but the white or red lines weren’t very notable. Using the Digital Split Image you had to zoom in for the best check. So this option wasn’t the best one neither, because they weren’t standing still 🙂
So some times I had to estimate the distance or just checking the sharpness by eye.
It was a lot of fun to shoot manual.
